Why do we make so many habit tracker app?
It's not an answer, nor self promotion. More kind of a reflection.
So many years ago I made a habit tracker.
And I didn't really check what already existed.
I still use it to this day and I think it's better than other apps (hey it's my opinion ok :p).
It was only after making the app that I noticed how crowded the market was.
I certainly don't regret making it, as it was fun and lead to different opportunities, but it's kind of interesting.
What compels us to making habit trackers? There isn't even a market for it.
It also kind of feels like procrastination: "Instead of doing the habit, I'll make a tracker to make sure I'll be doing the habit in the future!"
