What's the latest on Steam Deck playability of CK3?

Most of the information I've found going through the subreddit and online is a couple of months old. General consensus is, game seems to be unplayable since Crane update.

So, is that still the case? Should I even bother trying? What sort of tinkering steps would I be looking at?
