I keep getting app alerts for class spaces, but the class is always fully booked

Does it drive anyone else up the wall that most of the time when you get an app alert to say a space has opened up in a class or session you want to book, even if you click it immediately the space has already been booked?

I understand that it’s because someone with higher priority on the wait list got to it before me, but why am I still getting an alert? Is their system not smart enough to know when someone else has booked it? It’s doing my nut in!
