[GAMEVESTOR CAMPAIGN] Where does the budget go? - A word from Helios

Hello everyone,

My name is Victor, and I develop Black One Blood Brothers solo. That means I handle everything: production, coding, design, balancing, support, builds… and the pressure that comes with it. The game is moving forward, but the reality of a solo project is that I have to divide my time across many areas of development. The campaign milestones are not cosmetic “extras.” They determine how far I can push quality, how much I can secure production, and how strongly I can boost the game’s visibility through marketing.

First of all, I want to thank the early investors in this project. Every step brings us closer to our goals. That’s exactly what this update is about: where does the money you invest go?

While the game will release in full version no matter what, I have identified areas for improvement that would allow us to go even further in development and reach our ambitions faster and under better conditions.

Today, I’m presenting in more detail what each funding tier includes.

1st milestone: €320,000

- Support for Victor / Helios’ production work
- Addition and refinement of available translations, including Simplified Chinese, French, German, and revised English
- Ongoing community management support and marketing guidance for organic communication up until the 1.0 launch
- Two marketing campaigns including targeted advertising, social media communication, and outreach to the press to reach even more tactical FPS enthusiasts

2nd milestone: €430,000
 - Everything from the first milestone, plus:
 - Overall production optimization with code and AI improvements, supported by external developers, to enhance performance and AI behavior. Those additions would be made with the help of external developers.

3rd milestone: €630,000
 - Everything from the previous milestones, plus:
 - This milestone is dedicated to immersion: improved visuals, enhanced animations, the introduction of cinematics to strengthen the narrative and provide a denser gameplay framework, and professional voice actors to bring characters to life. Those additions would be made with the help of external partners.

4th milestone: €1,200,000

Everything from the previous milestones, plus:
- This milestone would allow us to reach one of the most requested goals from players: a console port of Black One Blood Brothers on PS5 and Xbox Series. Development with the help of external partners.
- Additional QA to identify areas for improvement and ensure the game is delivered at the highest possible quality upon release
- Addition of Spanish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese to the available in-game languages
- Additional budget allocated to the marketing campaign through targeted advertising to increase visibility, specifically for the console version, as well as communication on social media and with the specialized press.

5th milestone: €1,800,000
- This final milestone would allow us to deliver the most requested feature to date: online co-op for up to four players. Development with the help of external partners.- Including dedicated QA specific to this type of game mode
- Expansion of localization to Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, and Italian
- Additional budget to relaunch a marketing campaign, including targeted advertising to boost visibility when co-op becomes available, as well as social media communication and outreach to specialized press

Here is a visual of where exactly goes the budget if we reach all milestones:

The ambition is to strengthen the game’s foundations and deliver even deeper, more immersive systems for players, by working alongside external experts in their respective fields to push the limits of Black One Blood Brothers.
