The "Burger War" is Optics Marketing
It's pretty obvious that the CEO of McDonald's is pretty far removed from the reality of who his company serves. Let alone the word used, "product" to describe a new food item, was beyond cringe. The "big bite" would need a microscope to see where it landed. The dude deserved the internet flak, no doubt.
But everything following? They just are here for you to pick a side and try the new sandwiches. That's it.
And let's be honest, it's just about optics and selling themselves to the opinion of the internet. It's optics marketing, it's not like they are sourcing better vegetables, better meat, or the like... They just made a new product or swapped some ingredients for new things... Like, what? And we think what matters in which one we choose, is the CEO interaction with the food?
It's fast food. It's more problematic they call the fucking thing a product, cause it makes me question EVERYTHING about McDonald's menu. It doesn't matter if some CEO nut doesn't eat it. Actually, keep them away. Its just beyond cringe seeing a company that serves the poorer population, to try and pander. And it's just as bad when other companies follow after to get some credit for being "better". Either way if I eat any of it, I'll be shitting and hungry in an hour.
