Feeling void after reading grimoires and Jung
Lately I’ve read at least 10–15 books from different parts of the world about occultism. Some were legends, some grimoires, and some urban folklore. I’ve always been curious about magic, and I’ve felt a strong pull toward it. I think I’m someone who naturally tends to believe in things beyond the ordinary.
While reading Carl Jung, I started to feel that many of his ideas about the human mind explain what we call “magic” — our need for rituals, and why they seem to work. It feels like everything is connected when it comes to belief; it’s archetypal in some way.
I started researching these topics because I have a strong need to belong somewhere, but nothing in the world really seems to fit me. I even looked into my family origins and the folk beliefs that came from there, but I still don’t feel truly connected to them.
Has anyone else ever felt the same way?
