Friends I introduced hang out without me
Over the past year, I took it upon myself to start hosting game nights with my friends. We’re not a clique of friends, but rather one-on-one relationships I have with them all that has since turned into a “game night crew.” I love the fact that people’s personalities mesh well with one another.
Recently, I became aware that two of my friends who connected thru the game nights have started hanging out together…without me. Now, my issue isn’t that they exclude me; it’s that neither of them has ever initiated planning and followed through with a meetup between me and them (individually). They always say “we need to get together to blah blah blah, but nothing ever comes to fruition until I plan something. That’s my issue.
I’ve known both of them for years, and neither has ever planned something for us, but suddenly at least one of them has the ability and \*interest\* to plan something for someone they just met not even a year ago? I can’t be upset or disappointed by what I don’t know, but the kicker is that one of them (the one I’ve known longer) volunteered that they had just hung out together.
Am I wrong to feel some type of way about this? Is it fair to say that they probably don’t view our friendship/relationship as close as I view it? Any advice on how I should address it or sweep it under the rug?
