I'll be talking about an injury and death if you aren't comfortable reading that please move on. This is just a rant as I don't know who to talk to.

Yesterday morning at 5am I received a call my mare was dead in the yard. I immediately went up and she was, she was in the yard due to a broken pelvis for 3 months, she was scheduled for a vet appointment tomorrow to clear her and was due to go back into the paddock on Saturday. We were so close to her going back into the paddock.

It's been raining for a few days and we believe she slipped and fell in the mud. She broke her tibia fully through and you could see the bone. She bled out. I hope it was quick, but by the amount of blood there was I'd say it was.

I'm beyond distraught, she was my everything, I don't know what to do with myself, we buried her today and I can't even hype myself up to go visit her grave. Everyone is being so supportive but I wasn't there for her when she needed me, I know even if I was there wouldnt have been anything I could've done, but it was so sudden and unexpected and finding her like that was so horrible, I didn't realise she could look so small. My poor baby, she was only 13. I loved her so much, I only owned her a year and 5 months. I feel like my world has ended.
