How do people evaluate compatibility before intentional co-parenting?
I’ve been reading a lot about intentional co-parenting and alternative family structures. One thing I keep noticing is that most places where people meet potential co-parents focus mainly on matching people who want kids.
But raising a child together seems like a much deeper long-term partnership than just “both people want kids”. Things like parenting values, finances, education philosophy, lifestyle expectations, custody expectations, etc. probably matter a lot.
For people who have explored co-parenting: how do you actually evaluate whether someone would be a compatible long-term parenting partner?
