Court ordered mediation

The company I work for has been ordered to attend a court ordered mediation on Friday. They are being sued for a matter stemming from the program I oversee with the company. I want to know if I’m not named on the lawsuit if I am required by law to attend? I do not represent the company, I’m not in a managerial or executive role. I cannot decide anything on the company’s behalf. I do not want to be in contempt of court, however I just found out about the date of mediation on yesterday and I have already requested and gotten approved leave for Friday.
