Klarna sent me this email, what exactly does it mean?
I received this email from Klarna stating this:
“We are contacting you about an issue with how we reported some Financing agreements to Experian and TransUnion (Credit Reference Agencies).
Between August 2025 and February 2026, your Financing agreement with us was not reported on your credit file with them. This was due to an internal error. The issue has now been fixed and we are sending the correct information so that your credit file is accurate, this will be automatically updated in the coming weeks and you don’t need to do anything.
During this time, other lenders may not have seen details of your Financing agreement with us on your credit file. This means your total borrowing may have looked lower than it was. This could have affected your credit score and/or decisions made about new credit you applied for during this time. When your file is updated, you may see a change in your credit score or total borrowing. Any change will reflect your true borrowing history.
You do not need to do anything. We are updating your credit file directly. If you would like to check your credit file, you can visit www.experian.co.uk or www.transunion.co.uk to get a copy of your report. If you need more information you can contact us via the Klarna App or https://www.klarna.com/uk/customer-service.
We apologise for this error and any concern it may cause.
Kind regards,
Klarna Financial Services UK Ltd”
What does this mean and should I be concerned? Thank you for any responses.
