I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on TikTok where people are rallying against the US and Israel chanting and even burning their flags. I understand why many view those actions as disrespectful. But it also made me think: don’t we Filipinos sometimes show disrespect toward our own country as well?

I’m not saying that disrespecting our own country makes it acceptable to disrespect others. My point is that many of these protests seem to come from people who genuinely want the violence and the war to stop. Instead of simply shaming them for how they express their frustration, maybe we should also try to understand the reasons behind it and the message they’re trying to send.

Filipinos ignore the law, badmouth politicians, and use our culture as an excuse for doing disrespectful things such as “Filipino Time”, an excuse for being late.

In the comment section, multiple people state “bat kayo nakikisali” and “na para bang may magagawa yan”

So is standing against evil something we should avoid just because the scared Filipinos are afraid of the consequences? Trying to make a change is something that the brave do, and it is difficult. The fact that these people in the comment section are pessimistic just shows that the Philippines will never change until people get educated and have the mind and heart to do whats right.

A corrupt country becomes corrupt not just because of the leader, but also its citizens. The Filipinos abuse both the law and people. From having fixers, to not following the traffic lights. All of these simple actions lead to the total corruption of the country.

To restate everything, is it wrong to stand up for what you believe is right?

Is it right to shame people for being brave? Is attempting to make a change worse than not trying?

Is it wrong to go against a country that has killed many?

Is it wrong to go against the strong when they do evil?

To the people who read this to the end, im not trying to put blame or shame our country.

If offended kamo then thats on you.

All im doing is stating the common and public facts.

What are your opinions on the ongoing war between the U.S. Israel Vs. Iran
