Is there any difference if I injected basal in 2 injections instead of 1 to prevent Lantus lows

Discussion

Ok long story short. I am a very very anxious person and lately have found out about what "Lantus low" is and now im feaked out for quite a few days. Barely even sleeping from stress..

Ive read pretty much every reddit or forum post there is on this topic and its obvious that if on a rare occasion it does happen its because you accidentally inject into a small blood vessel or into muscle and this causes the basal insulin to work almost instantly as if it was bolus but even faster.

Now since Im scared of this I got to thinking. (I use Basaglar which for those who dont know is virtually identical to Lantus) If I inject 13 units. What if I just split it to say 7 units on one side 6 on the other. In case this thing ever does happen it will be much easier to deal with 6-7 units instead of the full 13. And main lining both shots at once odds of that are probably astronomical lol.

Either way I would inject 6-7 hold on for like 10 - 15 minutes if none of those scary drops happening then inject the rest.

So thats basically what I am asking. Is there any real difference? Cause Im just worried about it probably cause of my health anxiety because logically how could there be a difference. Same amount, just different sites. Probably the only difference is you know the pain in the ass of doing the 2 shots or whatever. But I absolutely do not mind it for my peace of mind.

I know what your thinking consult dr. I would but I cant get to a dr this fast atm and I can keep dealing with this insane stress. I do think about moving of the split doses to morning in the future but before I do that I will definitely consult a doc. And either way the doctor would most likely say thats the same and just try it and watch blood sugar as u do lol. Don't they all usually just say that?
