COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT THE ROLE OF YOGAS AND DASHAS IN SHAPING DESTINY
Yoga means a fruit and dasha means the time of delivery for that fruit ( for understanding in layman’s language )
A promised event in a horoscope is a yoga and activation of it is, time of delivery for that event is the mahadasa which is also known as dasha.
Mahadasah is further divided into its sub and sub sub periods and so it help us to find out the exact time period of the delivery / activation of a promised event.
There is a great misconception about the yogas in a horoscope.
People think that having a good yoga in their horoscope is a guarantee for success in their life and it is bound to give good results.
This is absolutely a wrong understanding, a misconception among budding astrologers or people having less knowledge of vedic astrology.
In reality one may find people having raja yoga in their horoscope but still they are struggling in their life and even under heavy debt.
Now the obvious question is, how is it so ?
A pure / clear understanding is needed to understand the fruitification of a raja yoga. Lets understand it with an example. Here activation period means mahadasha period.
A person having a raja yoga in his horoscope could not get the benefit of it because the activation period of the yoga was during his childhood days when he was himself dependent on his parents. So the raja yoga got wasted.
A person having a raja yoga in his horoscope could not get the benefit of it because the activation period of the yoga was during his old age days when he was himself dependent on his children. So the raja yoga got wasted.
A person having a raja yoga in his horoscope could not get the benefit of it because the activation period of the yoga was during the period when he was inactive. That can be because of his illness or some other things. So the raja yoga got wasted.
A person having a raja yoga in his horoscope could not get the benefit of it because the activation period of the yoga was never there in his life ( means the mahadasha periods during his whole life didn’t support the raja yoga ). So the raja yoga got wasted.
The same stands for mahadasha / dasha also.
A good mahadasha donot guarantee of an expected event if it is not promised in the horoscope level. The event will not happen, even if the mahadasha is signifying that event.
During the mahadasha period an environment will be created of the signified event, but since the signified event is not promised in the horoscope level so it will not happen during that mahadasha period.
Vedic astrology is very complex and so one can not take one step / a parameter to predict an event. Its collection of many parameters weaved together to form a single prediction.
