How to approach companies for a cybersecurity internship in Gujarat?

I'm currently a 6th semester college student from Gujarat and I specialize in cybersecurity. I'm trying to secure an internship in cybersecurity or IT security to gain practical experience, but I'm not exactly sure about the best way to approach companies here.

Most of the advice I see online is very general, but I want to understand what actually works in Gujarat or India specifically.

Some questions I have:

• Should I directly email companies asking for an internship, even if they haven't posted openings?
• Is LinkedIn outreach effective for internships? If yes, how should I message HR or security professionals?
• Do small cybersecurity companies accept interns if we approach them directly?
• What should I include in the email or message (resume, projects, GitHub, etc.)?
• Are there specific platforms where Gujarat-based companies post internships?

For context, I have been learning Python and cybersecurity concepts and working on some related projects. I’m mainly looking for guidance on how people successfully approached companies for internships in Gujarat.

Would really appreciate advice from people who have done internships in cybersecurity or IT in India.
