Artist #32 Notion

Bio from The Festival Voice

Notion is a Bristol‑based British electronic producer and DJ whose restless creativity has helped redefine the U.K. dance landscape by blurring the boundaries between bassline, UK garage, house, jungle, and breaks into a fluid, high‑energy club and festival sound. Growing up in the West Midlands before planting roots in Bristol’s rich musical ecosystem, Notion cut his teeth as a drum & bass DJ before expanding his production palette to include hard‑hitting beats, melodic hooks, and genre‑crossing textures, earning releases on respected labels like White Peach, Four40, and Crucast while launching his own imprint, N Music, for maximum artistic freedom. His acclaimed projects — from the breakthrough Outsider series and its viral hit “Found Love” to the expansive Forwards mixtape — showcase a versatile producer whose music is simultaneously crafted for peak dance‑floor impact and nuanced listening, with festival sets that weave kinetic rhythm and emotional uplift into electrifying live experiences.
