Why do Christian parents think that kids become good after being "dedicated" to dog?

It's just so offensive and very dehumanising to other kids my age when I hear my dad say stuff like "oh, people want a kid like you. You're good because you're dedicated to god" "oh, but you're a Christian and they're not, so that's why you're a good kid!". Yeah. Sure. Just casually undermine my actual feelings to a pig like you and your sky bitch and the common sense of basic human decency taught to me by non religious adults. And also, I just very much hate the way he implies that I'm who I am today because he gave me over to some being (sounds very inappropriate and weird, but it is) when I was a baby. Like he's saying "it's thanks to my actions that you are a good person!!!". I hate it so much. I am good because I want no problems with anyone and to cheer up those in my life. Not because some narc "gave me over" to some bitch in the clouds who couldn't stop me from being traumatised and abused by the same narc who "gave me over." I hate them both.
