I want to start a backpacker Hostel

I am a backpacker personally occasionally, and been into tech business and investing mostly. I want to invest and start a backpacker hostel. I am planning to start it in Gujrat somewhere.

Has anyone operated or operate/work at any backpacker hostels? How does the management and operations look like? How haa been your experience with Zostel, The Hosteller, Moustache, Horn Ok etc? If there is huge opportunity to open a Hostel, Is it always better to take a Zostel or popular chain? Is it recommended to start my own brand? I have investors, so I can potentially scale it to a chain/franchise down the line. But as I have other businesses, I won’t be managing it myself consistently. I will have managers taking care of it. I am looking for suggestions and guidance on the process.
