You cannot be in headspace all day and never face any adulthood. If you are running away from all of adulthood you are not being healthy. If you are using this to exempt yourself from everything to do with adulthood you are not doing this as a coping mechanism in a safe way. This isn’t what the lifestyle is made for. You will still need to do adult things. I know you don’t want to hear this, but the point of this lifestyle is not to literally be a child again. It’s to feel like a child without actually being a child. Having to cook won’t just disappear. Having to eat adult meals won’t just disappear. Needing to clean up after yourself won’t just disappear. Being a house owner won’t just disappear. The need to pay bills won’t just disappear. Having to have an actual job won’t just disappear. Taxes won’t just disappear. Driving won’t just disappear. Calling your doctor won’t just disappear. You can’t see a pediatrician once you’re an adult. You can’t go into public acting as a literal child. Having adult conversations won’t just disappear. You can’t pretend you need a disability check just so you can stay at home living as an adult child. Having responsibility won’t just disappear. You won’t be able to just throw a hissy fit whenever things don’t go your way. You can’t just spend all day at the park or in literal child spaces. You shouldn’t be around kids so you can act like one. You shouldn’t be going into public acting as a literal child. You will need to prioritize bills over gear. You will need to go to the store as an adult. You won’t be able to sit in a high chair at a restaurant. You won’t be allowed to use changing tables for babies in the public restroom. You can’t just go out in full gear with zero regard for everyone else. You can’t just rely on someone like a parent. A lot of you think you can just be a literal child and never handle anything to do with adult life, but that’s not how this works. That’s never how this should work.
