I have always been a huge fan of comics and Image has been a big favorite of mine for years now. Like most people, I was very much into the Superhero books as a kid and I felt fortunate to grow up during the initial superhero movie boom. I saw Spawn, Blade, and Tim Burton's Batman(s) as a kid and had my world rocked. Then came the marvel run with the X-MEN and Spiderman movies (Toby McGuire will always be Spiderman to me). I was sold to say the least. I got deep into all the heralded Batman runs, Constantine, and Sandman towards the end of high-school. Then, bam! I graduated high-school. I didn't take any of my comics with me to college but I was thoroughly surprised when browsing the student library that there was quite an extensive graphic novel collection. I was introduced to the manga Berserk and The Invisibles omnibus by Grant Morrison. That totally shook up everything I knew about graphic novels up to that point. From there I went to the Image section and found Saga, Happy!, Black Science, and Invincible. Chew was a series I always saw around but never checked out. Now that I'm in my early 30s, and going through the roughest patch I've ever experienced, I figured its time to venture back towards my original love(s), comics. With a gf and 2 cats my stuff is pretty much sanctioned to the spare bedroom so ive been organizing and revisiting my collection. I saw this omnibus online for a very cheap price and its in great condition. Now that im older the idea of loose single issues just bothers me for some reason so when I do buy new book, its usually an omnibus or collected edition. I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this series or any other recommendations in the same vein.

I'm finally diving in!
