Crazy rubbish on bin day

Question | Advice-Needed

It was bin day in our area in the city bowl, bin pickers went on a rampage and I ended up having to pick up just under 240 litres of trash by hand... While it felt quite good to be out there in the fresh air doing my bit, I'd rather not have to keep going through that.

What do I say / do to convince people living on these mean streets that keeping it clean matters? Suppose they have bigger fish to fry. Is this a social contract issue, a systemic (lack of bins and cleaning) issue?

Maybe it's time to pull out that midday Black Label and just partake in a bit of midday chaos? 😄
