Did I make a mistake by creating MF account on Groww?

So I read people saying Groww is shady and something about AMC. I don't know anything about the technical terms. I was just told to create a MF account on Groww and let it deduct SIP monthly. It's been a few years of my investment. Now, I'm panicking why are people telling to shift from Groww to something traditional? What does all this mean?
