How long does it take to get a DIP via mortgage broker?

Hi all,

Looking to get a mortgage, I went in on Saturday and gave all my details. The mortgage adviser said he will run it on Tuesday as he’s busy on Monday, not heard anything back yet and it’s Thursday.

Also used a place called Knight Frank via my work as they offer mortgage broker services and I enquired about 2 weeks ago and they said they will get back to me with rates and not heard anything.

How long does these things normally take, as I want to start looking for a property ASAP, but need a DIP done first.
