I'm looking for quote from Eoger Corman about making movies aimed at a teenaged male demographic.
OK, this might be a little obscure but I heard a quote either from Corman or attributed to him about making movies aimed at teenaged boys. He said that from a business standpoint they were the ideal demographic because while a boy might not watch a movie made for girls, the girls would watch the boys movie. While the boy may not watch movies made for a younger or older audience, those people would watch a movie aimed at the boys.
Obviously times have changed and what he said may no longer be applicable but it was true at the time (50s and 60s).
I thought I'd heard it either from Corman or Joe Bob Briggs on the "Full Moon Freakshow" podcast but I've recently re-listened to those episodes and it wasn't there. It may have been on one of Joe Bobs interviews of Corman.
I know this is kind of a deep cut but I'm hoping there's another trash movie cinephile here that might know what I'm talking about.
