[10k] Backyard weddings- what details would you add to elevate the experience?
Hey! We're having a backyard wedding this October. ~60 guests, not terribly formal/traditional (we're doing a buffet and boardgames instead of plated dinners and dancing), and doing tons of DIY in preparation.
I really want this to be a memorable experience for our guests even though we're on a budget, but I'm falling flat in terms of things that would "elevate" the day and not be a waste of money or feel tacky to anyone.
We've already cut out favors (we're doing a cookie table with take-out boxes, though!), and the night will be pretty chill- games, firepit, some music, beer and wine. Considering doing a bunch of fake florals through Sola wood flowers (maybe... I got a sample from them and the customer service was meh). Maybe a DIY photo booth? Giving guests the floral arrangements? Bathroom baskets? No clue how to make it feel like a "nicer" event with a narrow budget.
LMK your thoughts!
