Opinions on Tanking League

So I'm F2P 2nd year player, I'm down to a 92.5 OVR (#1,298) after crushing my bench to do PoTM. However, I'm 104,430 Tier points (#506) which is making QG and WL difficult.

I typically try my hardest to get a decent finish in league play and was considering tanking my next league season to try and drop tier points.

How many of you do this regularly and is it still worth it now that there are bonus League coins to unlock solid players?
