Justice League Unlimited Season 02 E13 is a treasure episode to this day. The creators should pat themselves of on the back.

* As usual, Amanda Waller is your textbook Machiavellian Anti Hero
* Batman takes the device not ONLY because Ace knows only him OR is that really all to it?
* Ace was VIOLATED by Cadmus like the Ultimen
* And Batman perfectly relates/sympathizes to Ace from experience of being an adult at the age of 8 years old
* Batman ACTUALLY took the device not to stop Ace because he DOESN'T want Ace to die. By doing so he prevented Ace's murder. Her life was on his hands. If Shayera took it... well, she's still a soldier and soldiers can kill out of necessity.
* Then Ace reveals she was going to die either way
* Men are heroes not only by doing heroic deeds. Sometimes they only need to stay with you to the end. Make you feel not alone even if sometimes, it the end.
* He probably picked this trait from a certain \*policeman\*.
* There are times only a person who stared at death knows how to deal with it. By staying with Ace, Batman gave her peace to her end.

This is one of the most heroic moments. Usually, batman will save the day by using his wits, fists or whatever gear he has in his arsenal. This time, he used his heart.

It didn't mean a lot to me this much when I was a kid, now that I'm older, I'm really appreciating kindness even further with these stories. I remember some people in their death beds... They only wish their loved ones to stay with them... This was so wholesome.

One of the Most Heartwarming Saves in History
