What are the chances of Iran-Israel relations after the regime?
I’m asking this as a genuine question because I’m curious to hear perspectives from Iranians themselves (are there Iranians living in Iran in this sub?).
From some surveys and articles I’ve read online, it seems that a large majority of Iranians currently have negative views toward Israel. At the same time, more than 60% of Iranians still identify as Muslim. Because of that, it feels like opposition to Israel might be quite deeply rooted in society - even beyond the current regime.
I hope I’m wrong about this.
From the outside, it sometimes looks like the Iranian diaspora is much more secular and often more open to relations with Israel, while people living inside Iran might feel differently.
So I’m curious: if the current regime were to fall, what do you think the real chances are of normal relations between Iran and Israel at some point?
Interested to hear honest views.
