I've built the same announcement widget for at least three projects. Custom top bar, dismissal logic, localStorage persistence, styling to match the brand, scheduling logic... every time from scratch.

Then my current client asked for the exact same thing again, and I thought: why do I keep rebuilding this?

So I turned it into a standalone product: Onpane (https://onpane.com)

It's a simple announcement widget you add to any website with one script tag:

<script src="https://onpane.com/loader.js" data-key="your-key"></script>

From there, anyone on the team can manage announcements through a dashboard. No code changes, no deployments. You get scheduling, custom styling, a CTA button, dismissal with persistence, and basic analytics (views, clicks, dismissals).

Pricing is $5/month (or $50/year), 14-day free trial, no credit card required.

I'm not trying to build the next big thing. Just a small, useful tool at a fair price. If you run a site and ever need to put up a "we're doing maintenance tonight" or "check out our new feature" banner without touching code, this is for that.

I'm looking for first users for the system to gather some initial feedback. Feel free to DM me for some promo codes, only thing I wish in return is honest feedback, e.g. does this solve problems for you, what would you like to see as the next feature etc..

I kept building the same announcement system for every project, so I turned it into a micro-SaaS
