Thinking about trying a healer for the first time. Which one is the least stress

Hey everyone.

I’ve been playing WoW for over 10 years, mostly between Classic and now Retail in The War Within. But one thing I’ve never really played is a healer. I’m thinking about changing things up a bit and finally giving it a try.

The recent ability pruning actually made the idea more appealing to me, since it seems like some specs are a bit less overwhelming now. The problem is that I have absolutely no idea which healer to pick.

Right now I’m loosely considering Resto Shaman, Holy Priest, and Resto Druid, but that’s based on a very superficial look. What I’m really looking for is something relatively simple and not too stressful, with less heavy management but still effective in groups.

If you have suggestions, even for healers I didn’t mention I’d really appreciate it.

Another thing: since WeakAuras isn’t working anymore, I’ve been feeling pretty lost even when playing DPS and i guess it will happen when playing healer. I’m having trouble tracking procs, stacks, and certain ability effects during combat.

Is there any good native solution in the UI now, or maybe another addon people are using for this? I feel like I’m missing something obvious.
