It took me 37 takes to record a 1 minute video

Is it just me or does your brain just completely empty the second you hit record. I'll write everything out, know exactly what I want to say, and then forget every word instantly. One minute video took me 30 takes and it still wasn't good.

Does anyone else deal with this or have you found ways to make it easier?
