Report of Birth Going Back Multiple Generations
I believe that my father and I are considered born Filipino Citizens, but I’m a bit confused on the process that we must go through to claim our dual citizenship. My great grandfather was born in the Philippines in the early 1900’s and moved to the US. He fathered my grandfather in the late 1930’s. And according to the US Census, he was not naturalized as of 1950. My father was born in the US in the late 1960’s. And I was born in the early 2000’s.
So it seems that the descendancy of Filipino citizenship was never broken. I also haven’t been able to find much information about filing ROB’s dating back so long, especially considering my grandfather has already passed on.
Has anyone dealt with this kind of situation before? I was born nearest to the LA Consulate, but my father and great grandfather are each born near different consulates.
