Looking for biography/autobiography with dark blue on the cover I read in elementary school

I got it from the school library so I assume it was for children. I read it thinking it was fiction but it was nonfiction. Either ravens or crows were talked about. It was about a kid and his dad or finding his dad. Water was a prominent thing. Sorry for the crypticness, I only remember fragments and it's been haunting me for years.
