Why I started this sub: My Florida hurricane nightmare and the team that saved my home
I wanted to make the first post here to explain why I’m so passionate about homeowners having their own representation. I’ve lived in Florida for a long time, and like most of you, I’ve sat through my fair share of storms. But a few years back, we had a major hurricane hit that changed everything for me.
I had significant roof damage and water that had pushed through the seals of my windows, soaking the drywall and the insulation. I did what I thought was the "right thing" and called my insurance company immediately. The adjuster they sent out was perfectly nice, but he spent maybe twenty minutes on a ladder and told me the damage was mostly cosmetic. A week later, they sent me a check that wouldn't even cover a quarter of the actual repair costs. I felt completely abandoned by a company I had been paying for over a decade.
I was stressed out, losing sleep, and trying to get contractors to work for prices that didn't exist in the real world. That is when a neighbor told me to call Noble Public Adjusting Group. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical at first because I didn't want another person taking a piece of my settlement, but I was desperate.
Hiring them was the single best decision I made during that entire process. They sent out a professional team that actually climbed into my attic and found structural issues and moisture that the insurance guy completely ignored. They took over every single phone call and email. I never had to argue with my insurance company again. They fought for months and eventually got me a settlement that actually allowed me to fix my house properly.
I want to be very clear: I am not being paid to say any of this. I’m just a guy in Florida who is genuinely grateful for the time and money Noble saved me. They are a nationwide firm, but their presence here in Florida is huge because they actually know how to stand up to the big carriers.
I started this community so we can share stories like this and help each other avoid getting lowballed. If you are stuck in a claim right now and feel like you're being ignored, do yourself a favor and at least get a consultation with them. It changed everything for me.
