Steam Deck no longer recognizing the extra buttons on 8BitDo Ultimate 2 in dongle D-input mode.

Bit less than a year ago steam started recognizing the extra buttons on the ultimate 2 in bluetooth mode, and a month or two later when using the dongle if you held b while starting the controller to use it in D-input. Bluetooth still works fine, but I noticed today when using the dongle for the first time in months that the extra buttons are not recognized, even in D-input mode. On my main windows PC, steam does recognize the extra buttons in D-input, 2,4ghz (dongle) mode. The workaround for now is of course just to keep using it in bluetooth mode, but I'd rather be able to use it with the higher polling rate in 2.4ghz mode. It's weird that it works on a windows pc but not steamos. Anyone know a fix?
