The toll of chronic illness on achedmics
I'm at the peak of my academic life, 12th grade. I'm so done, I was good I used to average between 9-10GPA was finally ready to get into a good college and move forward with my engineering studies. I got my diagnosis last year and that process took away months of school. Now I'm giving my class 12 finals and half of the time I can't sit and study for long and the pain makes me wanna just lay down. I don't even know if I'll be able to get good GPA this year and might have to repeat this year and forget about college. This lead to so many panic attacks. I had to postpone major treatments because my exams were nearby which I realise was a bad idea because now my flareups are bad. It's hard seeing my friends and batchmates move forward while I'm stuck at the same point.
