What if Luffy became a warlord?

I personally love the warlords and believe it was a system that needed changing rather than abolishing, and who better to do that than the future king of the pirates himself? So I made a list of story altering events that I think would happen(or would be cool) if luffy became a warlord. There are also some things I wished happened in the og story, like Ace… well you’ll just have to read to find out lol.

East blue

- Child Luffy meets Mihawk while he was visiting Shanks (Shanks is still his idol)

- Shanks explains that Warlords like Mihawk are pirate heroes that are contracted to fight against other pirates and often fight alongside marines

- Shanks also explains that as pirates they’re some of the freest men in the world, and as heroes they’re often treated to feasts and banquets for doing heroic deeds

- All Warlords enter peace contracts with the Gov. in exchange for total immunity and some Warlords gain special privileges like the authority to give orders to marines under the admiral class by giving tribute or doing additional favors for the Gov. They also get rewarded for answering summons

- Luffy loves the concept of pirate heroes and vows to become one before becoming king of the pirates

Alabasta

- Ace teaches Luffy about the basics of armament Haki and fighting a logia type

- Luffy tells Robin his dream is to become a pirate hero aka a Warlord then become king of the pirates

- Luffy calls out Crocodile for being a fake and declares he’ll become a true pirate hero then king

- After Luffy defeats Crocodile, King Cobra petitions the world Gov. to make him a Warlord

- Morgans becomes a fan of Luffy

Skypiea

- The gorosei debate whether or not to invite Luffy into the warlords

- Usopp learns how to use the basics of observation haki from the skypieans

- Luffy has an easier time fighting due to his understanding of armament Haki

Water 7

- After a run in with Aokiji, Robin, out of fear for Luffy’s safety, turns herself in on the condition that Luffy becomes a Warlord

- The events at Enies Lobby are publicized by Morgans leading to Spandams imprisonment in addition to Luffy’s increased bounty

- After Enies Lobby, the gorosei decide to test luffy before they invite him, stating his connection to Garp could make him a promising candidate and he’s better to have as a friend than foe

Thriller Bark

- Kuma arrives at Thriller Bark and informs Moria that the Gov. is thinking of replacing him with Luffy

- Kuma informs the Gov. that Moria was defeated by the Strawhats

- After Thriller Bark, Moria’s defeat and revocation is made public and Luffy get’s an official invitation to join after a test from Kuma

- Robin convinces Luffy to accept the warlord invitation even though he’s at odds with the Gov., stating that it would be best to change the system from within

Summit War

- Luffy punching a CD will be covered up after the Strawhats are sent away by Kuma

- The news reports more on what Kid and Law did on Sabaody

- Hancock keeps Magellan busy while Luffy talks to Ace

- Luffy tells Hancock that he’ll save Ace on his own, thanks her for her help, and tells her to leave without him

- Ace is pissed that Luffy came to see him and warns Luffy not to try saving him

- Luffy doesn’t listen and attempts a rescue but fails

- Mrs. Doublefinger joins Crocodile and Daz Bones in their escape

- Luffy’s actions at impel down are blamed on Buggy and Blackbeard

- Flashback reveals that whenever Ace or Luffy does something the other disapproves of, they always threaten to kill each other

- Shortly after arriving at Marineford, Luffy declares he’ll be the one to kill Ace and Jinbe states that he’ll follow Luffy

- Luffy convinces 3 other Warlords(Jinbe, Mihawk, and Hancock) to help him save Ace without speaking a word to them

- As Luffy runs to Ace, the 3 other Warlords begin attacking recklessly, paving a path for Luffy to get to Ace

- After Ace is freed, Luffy pretends to fight with Ace and moves toward Whitebeards ship

- Akainu and Aokiji get between Ace and Luffy

- Aokiji freezes Luffy

- Akainu tells Ace that the world isn’t watching them at the moment so he could kill Luffy and blame it on Ace

- Ace uses conquerors haki to make Akainu miss his attack on Luffy

- Marco fights Akainu and Jozu fights Aokiji

- Ace unfreezes Luffy and flees with him

- Marco and Jozu are injured in their fights

- Akainu lands an attack on Ace and Luffy that gives Luffy an X scar on his stomach and Ace an O scar on his before Jinbe steps in facing off against Akainu and chastises him for injuring a Warlord

- All the blame for Ace’s escape is placed on Blackbeard and his Warlord title is revoked

Post war

- Buggy takes Blackbeards place as a Warlord and Luffy begins his training under Rayleigh after sending a message to his crew via the newspaper(same as OG)

- Ace creates the Firefist pirates from the remains of the Whitebeard pirates

- Kuma’s warlord title is revoked after his “poor performance” during the war and he disobeyed the gov. To protect the sunny, Kid is then chosen to take his place

- Ace convinces most of the former Whitebeard pirates not to fight a losing war against Blackbeard

- Crocodile proposes forming Cross Guild to Moria who’s determined to get back in shape and rebuild his crew

- Blackbeard becomes a yonko by taking Hachinosu during the rocky port incident then conquering most of Whitebeards old territories

- Crocodile meets Buggy to settle his debt and gets the idea to place bounties on the Warlords and marines

Fishman Island

- The gorosei have cifer pol launch a capture attempt on Luffy but fails

- Mihawk stands between cifer pol and the strawhats questioning if the world gov. could break their peace pact that easily

- Ace arrives on Fishman island and picks a fight with BigMom by eating the sweets she bought

- Jinbe promises to help Ace take down BigMom and tell Luffy about his plans

- Jinbe tells Luffy to wait until BigMom is defeated and he finds a replacement Warlord before he joins the Strawhats

Punk Hazard

- Law has not become a warlord yet

- Luffy reveals his gear 4 bounceman to defeat Cesar

- Law is reported to have joined Luffy’s crew

- Brownbeard and his men decide to join Law and start his fleet before heading to Zou in order to meet up with Laws crew

Dressrosa

- Doffy gets Luffy to enter the colosseum by offering a lifetime supply of fighting fish meat as the prize which is suppose to be not only delicious but also increases strength and fighting ability of those who eat it, it’s also illegal to catch it in Dressrosa

- Luffy reveals his gear 4 snakeman to defeat Doffy

- Law gets most of the credit for defeating Doffy

- Law turns in hundreds of Donquixote pirate hearts including Doffy’s to the Gov. and takes Doflamingo’s place as a Warlord

- Luffy gives Fujitora hope for the future and changes his opinion on the Warlords slightly, now believing that regulations may be more necessary than abolition

- The Funk brothers join Ideo’s crew

- Ideo and Cavendish become members of Laws fleet

- After being defeated and captured by Kaido, Kid’s Warlord title is revoked and Bonney is later chosen to take his place

- Bonney becomes a Warlord after her connection to Kuma is made public and she’s promised info on Kuma

Zou

- No changes made

Whole Cake

- Luffy joins Ace’s alliance to take down BigMom on Whole Cake

- Ace fights/beats Katakuri

- Ace joins Jinbe in preventing BigMom from following Luffy

- After Whole Cake, Jinbe resigns as a Warlord to join the Strawhats but recommends Bege after he helps them against BigMom

- Bege gives several BigMom pirates over to the Gov. to solidify his position as a Warlord

- BigMoms “defeat” is credited mostly to Jinbe and Luffy however speculations of Ace becoming the next Yonko arise

Reverie

- The Warlords won’t be abolished during the reverie but will have regulations imposed to avoid another Crocodile or Doffy

- After the Reverie, each Warlord is paired with a Vice Admiral; Mihawk/Onigumo, Buggy/John Giant, Hancock/Gion, Bonney/Doll, Luffy/Smoker, Law/Momonga, and Bege/Tokikake

- Crocodile makes a deal with Ace to take down BigMom/Kaido in Wano and take their places as Yonko before he faces Blackbeard

- Crocodile tells Ace about the forming of Cross Guild but Ace rejects the invitation

- Sabo becomes known as the Draco Emperor

Wano

- Ace meets Tama again

- Smoker and Momonga head toward Wano to meet Luffy and Law

- Ace, Moria and Crocodile join the fight against Kaido and BigMom on the roof of Onigashima

- Crocodile, Moria, Kidd and Killer fight BigMom while Ace, Luffy, Zoro and Law fight Kaido

- Killer convinces Hawkins to join their crew

- After Wano, Crocodile officially creates the Cross Guild with Kid as its face and recruits some of the former Tobi Roppo as his deal with Ace ends

- Ace recruits Yamato and Katakuri (who asked for his help in saving his sister from Blackbeard) before he joins the feast and decides to stick around in Wano for a while

- After Kaido and BigMoms defeat is made public, Ace and Kidd take their places as the new Yonko as they’re credited for taking them down

- The news reports that Luffy and Law fought Ace and Kid in Wano

- Luffy tells Law about Shanks

- Kid and Cross Guild head out toward Winner Island while Law sets out for Elbaph

- Cross Guild places bounties on the Warlords as well as the marines

- Mihawk is shown to be accompanying Perona on her search for Moria

Egghead

- Seraphim are lunarian clones of Kuma and Bonney

- Cross Guild forces Blackbeard to retreat from Winner Island

- Law and Shanks have a Davy back fight for each others poneglyph info and Laws crew loses

- Mihawk leaves Perona with Moria then goes to meet up with Shanks

- The gov. takes actions to prevent any news from egghead being published
