Forgive me, vent incoming and sad

Had a go at Facebook dating, can’t be doing with paid apps. So, created a profile and everything. Got about 3 matches. So reached out and sent messages, break the ice so to speak. So far, not one reply. First one was 17 hours ago. The others about 10 hours. Is this a sign or is this how it is for dating these days
