How Can FedEx Ground Be So Awful?

Every time a package is scheduled to be delivered on a Saturday, it is marked as failed due to "Customer Unavailable or Business Closed"... which is entirely false because the attempt was not even made.

Usually, after that happens, it gets delivered on the following Monday.

Now, it is Thursday and my package is STILL at the distribution center.

I called and opened a ticket earlier in the week, but there is no way to communicate over it. The only button they have is "Close Ticket". I got an email from someone saying that I will get an email when there is an update, but it was sent from an email with an unmonitored inbox so I cannot reply.

I got fed up and tried to file a claim, except it is impossible to file a claim because the website throws an error trying to validate my tracking number.

Absolutely insane. I am unbelievably fed up with fedex ground.

Does anyone know how I can just get refunded for my package so I can just reorder it and move on with my life? This is a total embarrassment for a huge company like this.
