Brahiminism has exploited and divided Hindus

I feel Brahminism has both helped & harmed Hindu society. Brahmins did important work in preserving Hindu knowledge, scriptures & traditions. But the caste system built around Brahminical privilege also ended up dividing Hindu society.

Over time, this system was misused. It created a hierarchy where some groups saw themselves as superior and others were treated as inferior. Because of this, Hindus today are still divided into upper castes, OBCs, and SC/ST communities & unity is weak.

Reservation was introduced to correct historical injustice & help marginalized communities. But an important question is: how long should it continue? Ideally, merit should matter regardless of caste.

If caste discrimination is ever going to end, society must change. People from different castes should interact more and accept inter-caste marriages more openly. Until we move beyond caste thinking, Hindu society will likely remain divided.
