why are the words AMMA APPA flipped in tulu ?

When we say 'ammada pan', amma refers to the father. similarly when we say Appe (root Appa) refers to mother while Amme/Ammer(root Amma) refers to father. Why is it like this?.

Why do tuluvas call their father Ammer and mother Appe. 🤔
