Has anyone with a mediocre GPA got in thanks to their SAT?

Has anyone “compensated” for a mediocre unweighted GPA with a good SAT score?

Im curious on whether there are many students with a not so spectacular UW gpa (less than 3.6) but with a 1400-1500 SAT has been accepted? My unweighted is pretty cooked (say 3.4) but my weighted Gpa is probably gonna be around a 4.2. Messed around in math courses (and most of my freshman classes overall) for a few years but excelled in most of my honors, dual credit, and AP courses.

And for those who were accepted, did you get any merit aid at all because of that SAT and/ or your weighted gpa? I’m thinking that by the time I apply later this year I can at least get a 1470.

For context, I don’t plan on majoring in STEM or Business.
