Self-hosting a website? Should I or not?
I own a nice server with 128 GB RAM, 12 Core CPU and decent amount of storage. I am using it to host a bunch of dockers - Plex, arr stack, Nextcloud and Home Automation stuff. So, it is up 24/7.
Now, I have gotten an itch to make and host my own website. I am not from computer engineering background so this is more like a learning project but I also want to use it as my portfolio. I currently have a website through Wix free plan but they ask for money to connect my own domain that I already own. So, I just want to make a website from scratch and host it on my server. This website is just my career portfolio.
Is it a good plan to make a website and host it on local server and publish it to internet using Cloudflare tunnel? Also, is Hugo a good place to build my website?
