Animal Related Volunteering?

Hi all!

I used to work as a receptionist at an animal hospital, and even though I’ve transitioned into a more formal office job I would still love to positively contribute to animal care in any way possible.

Does anyone know any good volunteer opportunities for working with animals? Animal shelters, humane society, balboa zoo, or anything else in general?

Im still a bit new to San Diego and trying to figure out good opportunities out here. Thank you for any feedback you can provide!
