Sump put water level?

Hi all..

Curious about my sump pit. After a hard rain, my sump pump will run every 30 seconds for a day or so. It's relatively new, replaced it last year. When I replaced it, the previous pump was sitting on bricks. However, the water level was above the inlet pipes at the time. I didn't like that so I removed the bricks. Now been been dealing with this since then. No rain? Doesn't run.

Check valve is good. Water comes out at street. No leaks back into house (checked via camera through pipes). Do I just have a high water table? If so.. should I raise my pump up?
