The moment I turned HDR on, my second screen went black.
Hello everyone. I'm facing a problem with my MSI katana laptop and Gigabyte Aorus F048U 4k 120hz OLED monitor.
When I first plugged my monitor, everything went well. display extention and other things worked fine, but the second I turned HDR on, the monitor went black.
the windows recognizes it as Aorus monitor, but I can't turn hdr off, change resolution or do anything else. However, when I duplicate my screen it works, until I close my laptop lid.
This probbobly messed up because I used a slower hdmi cable (had a factory 1080p hdr cable from my other monitor).
Changing cables doesn't work. I'm now using a og cable from ps5.
Other machines like my xiaomi tv box works fine with 4k 60hz refresh rate.
I beleave the problem is in the pc (laptop 3060 6GB GPU, latest drivers)
Have any of you faced the same problem? I believe if I could somehow make my laptop forget the monitor and treat it as new (like I first time plugged it in), everything would come back as normal.
Please help!
