[TOMT][SHORT HORROR STORY] A internet horror story about a lake town with zombies

I am trying to find an internet horror story I really enjoyed. It definitely wasn't a creepypasta. It might have originated on r/nosleep but I'm not sure. I originally found it being narrated on YouTube, unfortunately I don't remember who posted the video.

What I do remember in detail are the plot beats.
It started in a lake side town, but the odd thing was that all of the kids (i believe the narrator and most characters were either preteens or teens) weren't allowed to swim in the lake.

The narrator + others didn't really question it, they grew up like that after all. But then one of their friends either returned from a trip somewhere or a new family moved in.

Well that friend/new kid ended up in the lake. What transpired was I believe a sort of fog (the fog detail is under question) surrounded the town as that kid ended up turning into basically a lake zombie and started infecting people. Not with biting tho, I'm pretty sure he just touched them.

Narrator made it out because he climbed on a roof and when the sun rose and fog (?) retreated all of the zombie things went back into the lake. I think the story closed with either the Narrator wondering how many bodies were in the lake or vowing to move out of town at the first chance.

Honestly either the original post or YouTube narration would be helpful here. Throw whatever you can at me!
