Magikarp Jump Forms

I've attempted to find any of the Magikarp Jump Forms for a few days now. I've encountered maybe 200 Magikarp, none of which have a unique pattern. I'm playing on version 1.7.3 (and am using the Jump Form resource pack), but I'm beginning to wonder whether I'm truly unlucky or something is bugged. Any suggestions?
