Am I fooling myself with my plans for an unconventional room arrangment?

Cleaning, Organizing, Decluttering

I live alone and have a pretty big apartment which I absolutely love. But I am considering changing the layout of my rooms to make them work for me a little better.

Room 1:
I have one room with a north-facing window and wall to the west so it gets very little sunlight. I don't enjoy being in this room. It's a bit small, it's dark, it feels exposed to neighbouring windows. This is currently my hobby room/arts and crafts room/pottery studio/office.

Room 2:
My living room. It's huge, it has a semi open kitchen, huge south-facing windows (floor length), a balcony. It mainly houses my couch, my TV and my vinyl record player.

My current idea is to swap those two rooms, so make the smaller, less cozy room into the living room and the bigger one into my hobby/activities room.

What am I hoping to achieve by this?
Currently, when I come home from work I pretty much fall onto the couch and that is it for the day. I watch some Youtube, I scroll my phone and then I go to bed. A big part of that is surely because I am exhausted but I also think that it's become habitual and that it's currently the path of least resistance. I often buy groceries on the way home and need to cross the big room in order to put them away in the kitchen. So I am already in the big room with the big cozy couch when I get home.

As many people with ADHD I have tons of creative hobbies and a gazillion unfinished projects. That's generally okay with me but I wish I would find more time and energy to dedicate myself to those hobbies. By making my main room into my hobby room I am just hoping to create a space where I actually like to spend time and maybe as a result do more of these creative activities.

Vice versa, if I use the little less cozy room as "hang out and chill" room, I might go in there less and only use it if I have guests or I actively want to watch a show or film.

Of course, there is a danger that I'll still hang in the lounge room, only this time it is darker, smaller and more depressing. This is actually my main concern.

So, I wanted to ask all you experienced ADHDers: am I kidding myself with my plans or is there an actual chance I might improve how I spend my free time? Has any of you ever tried anything similar and can report back their experiences?
