My toxic ex bought me a few purses and some of them I bought when I was with him and they bring me memories. Is this normal?

When I’m trying to ask is, should I throw them away or give them away or just keep them? It’s just weird because randomly when I’m carrying the purse or when I look at them, it brings me to the times that I was with him.
